On Removing Snow From Shoes

  1. Tap shoes against a wall or other vertical surface
  2. Stomp across a flat surface
  3. Tap shoes together, jumping in order to do so if necessary

Method 1 suffers from the problem that it requires a convenient vertical surface, while Method 2 is somewhat unintuitive, as the ground or other surface is necessarily in the way of the snow which one seeks to remove. Therefore, Method 3 should be favored, as it is the most general. For example, if one is in free fall, Method 3 will still be effective. Note, however, that this method is still dependent on having two feet. Further research will be required to develop a strategy which generalizes to amputees.
