Christmas Summary
I'm not sure if I was disappointed by Christmas or not. The holiday was somewhat muted for my family this year, as my grandfather's health has been deteriorating. So, most of the day consisted of cooking and waiting, thus effectively transmuting it into Thanksgiving.
I think I was pretty successful with the gifts I gave; having used bookstore nearby made it possible for me to get ahold of some old books that I think my dad has wanted for years. RAM chips for my mom's laptop seem to have been well received, and legos were the natural choice for my brother.
As far as what I got, the external hard-drive should be very useful, especially with the convenience provided by Time Machine. The only thing is that I realized after a while that getting a new hard-drive is sort of like being given a huge box. Sure, it's a great box, which will hold all sorts of things, but in and of itself it really doesn't do anything exciting. I also got a power drill, for which I have no use, a new USB flash drive, and some shirts.
